Should young people has a clear career path?
There are so many children has programmed by their parents to become something. I feel sorry for them.
With the affection of the parents, the children can easily identify what they want to become. Teacher, doctor, billionaires,...
That might be a good thing because you know what you gonna become and what you should do to become what you want to become.
But for me, just a small thought on my head. Why we have to identify what we want to become so early? Why would just enjoy the journey of finding what we want to become? It is an uncertain journey, no one knows when it will be stopped. But it is exciting, cause uncertain things happen. You might meet some strange peoples, face some ideas that you've never heard before, do something that you've never done before. And most important, throughout the journey, you understand yourself more and maybe you understand the meaning of life.
What could happens if one day those kids who have become doctors or teachers feel that what they had become is not what they want to become? So, parents, let giving those children the freedom to discover themself, to understand themself.
I believe life is long enough for anybody who wants to join the journey of finding themselves.
When I was a kid, I used to look up at the sky at night to watch twindle stars and I wish one day I will become an astronaut. Since then, 23 years have passed, I still keep a little dreamy of a kid to continue on my journey. The journey will be stopped some time, but who cares about the destination? I only remember the journey itself.
