Why we should stop eating dog meat
This noon, I came back home after school, it was still early for lunch, so I decided to surf Facebook on my phone. The first post in my timeline is a 16-year-old boy was beaten ruthlessly by a group of people in a village because he has stolen a dog. The result is the boy is dead and the dog is also dead.
This is a sad story about how humans treat each other, after all, no one feels good except one. The family of this boy must be hurt, this boy is a stealer, but anyway, this boy is their blood relative. The boy stood for physical pain until death. Maybe, this boy didn't want to steal anything, but he has no choice. Victims of the stealing must miss their dog. And the people who beat the dog stealer until dead, I don't know how they feel after killing a boy.
I read comments on this post, I saw that a lot of people agree on the act that treats dog stealer like dirt. I agree that to steal dog is wrong, however, the people who beat dog stealer has also violated the law. This is not the first time I encounter this situation, I have read a lot of reports that the dog stealer was beaten until dead. I think stealing dog is a serious problem of social. We cannot let it happen again.
So, what should we do? What things we can do to reduce dog stealing, from that we can reduce sad stories like this. The solution is extremely simple: Don't eat dog meat anymore.
Because the dog is a pet, people treat the dog like a friend, so, they rarely sell their dog. And I have never seen a breeding facility which feeds dog to supply meat. It means that dog meat supply is very limited. In Vietnam, a lot of people like to eat dog meat
. Therefore, the demand for dog meat is big. Demand is greater than supply, this lead someone to steal dog to supply meat.
If you don't eat dog meat anymore, the demand for dog meat is decreased. There will be no dog stealer in the future, why they steal dog when no one wants to eat dog meat.
You must be remembered that: no dog meat, no dog stealer.
